On return from Masai Mara we spend a leisurely afternoon enjoying some Nairobi highlights before transferring to the International airport for our late flight to Kigali, Rwanda. Our half day tour starts with lunch at a favourite café in Nairobi followed by a bus tour to include the Karen Blixem Museum (Out of Africa) and a Giraffe Breeding centre. We conclude the tour with cocktails and dinner at the very famous "Carnivores" Restaurant in Nairobi. Transfer to International airport for our flight to Kigali, Rwanda. Accommodation Laico Hotel, Kigali.
After a leisurely breakfast the morning will be our first "free" time in which we can choose to catch up on much needed sleep, go for a walk in the vicinity of the hotel, or relax around the pool. For those early birds we can organise a short bus tour to one of the "massacre churches" We will enjoy a traditional Rwandese lunch before heading north to the Virungi Lodge. (BLD)
We start the day around 5.30 am with a hearty breakfast in preparation for the long awaited Gorilla Trek. Our guides will pick us up around 6.15am. After the briefing and signing in process we hit the gorilla trail. We return early afternoon for a late lunch and shower before heading back to our hotel in Kigale. Overnight Laico Hotel. (BL)
